slides: 12 Great Places to Volunteer in Worcester

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

As students return to school this week and next, it's time to look up and think about new projects for the fall. Volunteering is one of the best ways to make a difference, have an impact, and feel the satisfaction of work that's truly worthwhile.

Not only does making time to be a volunteer allow you to make a difference in the lives of those in your community but there are practical business and social benefits as well. Being a volunteer helps create connections, offers opportunities to network while expanding your social circle, creates goodwill and teaches new skills.

Inspired to roll up your sleeves, but not sure where to begin? Relax. GoLocalWorcester has rounded up a dozen diverse organizations that do excellent work right here in Central Massachusetts. Here's how to make your fall really matter this year.
