HOPE Coalition to ‘Shatter the Myths’ During National Drug Facts Week
Saturday, January 10, 2015
In 2010, the National Institue on Drug Abuse (NIDA) launched the National Drug Facts Week. The week is aimed towards teens to shatter the myths about drugs and drug abuse. NIDA helps support local events across the country.
HOPE Peer Leaders, from public and private high schools across the city of Worcester, will lead conversations among attendees about common myths of drugs and drug abuse, and will break down myths with an interactive activity. The event will be both fun and informative for young people and adults. It will include dinner, youth performances, and resources from local organizations.
This event is free and open to the public. It will run from 5 PM to 7 PM at the YWCA in Worcester.
