NEW: Worcester Public Schools CLOSED on Thursday Due to Snow Removal

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

Worcester Public Schools will close for the third day in a row on Thursday due to massive amounts of snow still on the city's streets and sidewalks from Tuesday's blizzard. Citing safety concerns for students that walk to school and to allow the Department of Public Works to continue snow clean-up and removal, school children will once again have a day off.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is also reporting more snow overnight Thursday into Friday morning. NWS is predicting at least one to two more inches into Friday morning.

If there is cancellation of school on Friday, the announcement will likely come late Thursday or Friday morning.
