Sheriff’s Office Promotes Four Worcester Residents to Lieutenant

On Thursday, Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis announced the promotion of seven Sergeants to the rank of Lieutenant including four Worcester residents: Bryan Doray, Daniel Mara, Frank Porcaro and Keith Roberge.   

“All promotions at the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office are based on merit, work ethic and a dedication to duty.  I am very proud to announce the promotion of Worcester residents Bryan Doray, Daniel Mara, Frank Porcaro and Keith Roberge to the rank of Lieutenant.  These individuals represent the best in the field of corrections and will work hard to make us a better department.” said Evangelidis.

All four Worcester Lieutenants were promoted to Sergeant in June 2013. 

Doray, a nine-year veteran at the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is a member of the WCSO Honor Guard and Special Operations Unit.  Mara, a 25-year veteran also serves as a member of the WCSO Special Operations Unit. 

Porcaro, a 16-year veteran, is a member of the WCSO Critical Incident Stress Management Team.  Roberge has served 10 years with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office.

The new Lieutenants will serve the Sheriff’s Office line operations and will be responsible for commanding and supervising correctional officers and staff under their charge as well as monitoring the care, custody and control of inmate activity ensuring the safety of both staff and inmates.
