UPDATE: Worcester Library and Senior Center to Close at 3PM

Monday, October 29, 2012

The City just announced that the Worcester Public Library and Worcester Senior Center will close at 3:00p.m. today in response to Hurricane Sandy.

As of now, both will the Library and the Senior Center will reopen tomorrow as scheduled.

Due to predicted weather conditions, Worcester DPW&P is also requesting residents to clear leaves and lawn debris away from catch basins or storm drains in front of their property. This will help minimize street flooding during heavy rain.

Please note that leaves should not be piled over a catch basin at anytime and leaves should not be placed along the street until your neighborhood is scheduled for leaf collection. Details on the City's Leaf Collection Program can be obtained on the City of Worcester website.
