Governor Charlie Baker to Be Inaugurated in Boston Today

On Thursday morning at 10:30 AM, new Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker will take part in the State House Entrance Ceremony. The Swearing-In Ceremony will be held at noon.

Following the day's events, Baker and Lt.Governor will be hosting a 'Let's Be Great, Massachusetts' Celebration at the Boston Convention an Exhibition Center at 8 PM. Tickets to the event are on sale for the celebration at letsbegreat2015.com

On Friday, Baker and Polito will be in Worcester and hosting a Central Massachusetts Inaugural Celebration. The event will take place at Union Station at 4:30 PM and is open to the public. 

Lt. Governor Polito, from Shrewsbury, will be leading the Central Mass celebration at Union Station. As GoLocal reported, other members of Baker's cabinet are also from Central Massachusetts, including new Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Matt Beaton of Shrewsbury. Beaton was named one of GoLocal Worcester's 14 Who Made a Difference in 2014. Also on Baker's side is former Worcester City Manager Mike O'Brien, who was chosen to be part of Baker's transition committee on Human Resources.
