NEW: Scott Brown Joins Nixon Peabody Law Firm in Boston

Monday, March 11, 2013

Scott Brown has been keeping busy since losing his reelection bid last November to Democrat Elizabeth Warren. After joining the board of Westford-based paper company Kadant, Inc. and the Fox News cable network as a commentator, the former Republican U.S. Senator joined the international law firm Nixon Peabody LLP this week and will serve as counsel in the firm's Boston office.

“Nixon Peabody has a national presence and a strong reputation. The culture is one of collaboration among its lawyers and with clients,” said Brown. “During my time in politics, I never hesitated to reach across the aisle to work with members of any political party to secure a preferable outcome. My approach is consistent with the way Nixon Peabody does business and I believe we can be successful together.”

In light of his background in public service on the national and state levels, Brown will focus his practice on business and governmental affairs as they relate to the financial services industry as well as on commercial real estate matters.

“Scott’s ability to connect people with opportunities is an excellent fit with Nixon Peabody’s culture and strategic priorities,” said Andrew I. Glincher, CEO and managing partner of Nixon Peabody LLP. “As we anticipate the future needs of our clients, we are always looking for innovative ways to add value. Scott’s personality and entrepreneurial spirit will build strong relationships.”
