Rhode Island students ranked an impressive #7 nationwide for scores on the ACT college entrance exam. On a scoring scale of 1 to 36, the nation’s 2011 graduating seniors averaged a score of 21.1 and the 12% of Rhode Island’s graduating seniors who took the ACT, averaged a score of 23.0.

Not only was Rachael Leigh Cook, who starred with Freddie Prinze in She’s All That and formed one-third of the rebooted Josie and the Pussycats, seen at The VETS for the screening of her new film, Broken Kingdom, but she was also seen strolling through WaterFire on this weekend, holding hands with her True Blood husband Daniel Gillies, who was also in town for his own appearance at the Festival.
