Patriots Cut Veteran Defensive Tackle Terrance Knighton
Tuesday, August 30, 2016
"It just didn't work out. He came in, worked hard, lost weight, got in good condition, tried to do the things that we asked him to do, but there are just other people ahead of him," said Patriots head coach Bill Belichick in his press conference on Monday.
Knighton announced that he had been released via his twitter account.

The Patriots must now cut five more players before Tuesday, August 30 at 4 p.m. to get down to 75 player limit.
Terrance Knighton
The Patriots signed Knighton to a one year deal with $900,000 in base salary and $250,000 guaranteed this offseason.
Knighton was subbed in after second year player Malcolm Brown, Alan Branch or Markus Kuhn on a consistent basis during practice and in the two preseason games that he did see time in.
