The game did not come without a loss though as New England's Charlie Davis left the game in the first due to an undisclosed injury.

Kelyn Rowe had an opportunity in the 93rd minute but his shot went wide left from the middle of the box.

United's best chance came in the 85th minute when Bobby Boswell headed down Julian Buescher's corner kick. The ball went through the far side of the box before being fired wide by Nick DeLeon.

The Goalies

Both Revs goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth and D.C. United's Travis Worra earned shutouts, making three saves in the game.
