Designer Andrea Valentini Coming to Ladies High Tea

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

It's martinis and fashion and women only. What is not to love?

This Thursday's Ladies High Tea, the cocktail-fueled monthly networking event invented by Pot Au Feu's Bob Burke, features one of Rhode Island's hottest designers - handbag doyenne Andrea Valentini.

Local girl made good

The Rhode Island native and RISD grad is getting her signature handbags into some of the hottest hands in Hollywood, and she'll speak for LHT's classic seven minutes on the theme, "My Bag is Half Full." There will even be a Valentini Martini, specially designed for the day. Valentini, whose studio on Allens Avenue features not just her handbags but jewelry, clothing, and accessories, is one of the state's most dynamic designers. Don't miss her (and yes, there will be samples).

Thursday, April 21, 5-7pm, at Pot Au Feu Salon upstairs, 44 Custom House St, Providence. Tickets are $20, which also covers free appetizers and wine, in addition to the cocktails. For reservations, call 273-8953 or go online, here.
