Whitinsville Christian School Inducts New National Honor Society Members

Thirteen members of Whitinsville Christian School’s 2015 and 2016 classes were inducted into the John T. Bajema Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) on December 10. 

Inductees included: Angela Bobe, Andrew Baker, Katelyn Baker, Abby Cook, Carl Du, Michael Dunlap, Angie Epplett, Mike Gao, Spencer Gorman, Molly Hardiman, Sarah Jarosz, Elena Wang, and Jerri Zhou. 

Bill Herrmann - Faculty Mentor for the NHS for the past 25 years - was master of ceremonies and two of the inductees - Sarah Jarosz and Elena Wang - performed musical selections on piano during the event. 

The keynote speaker was Bryan Wiegers, who is father to an NHS member himself. Wiegers challenged new and old inductees to be a leader that LEADS (Listen, Encourage, Abide in Christ, Develop solutions to problems, and practice Servanthood by being a servant leader like Christ). 

The NHS also presented the following gifts to inductees and their families: $2000 for in-house scholarships for students of families in need of tuition aide, $2500 for updates to the wireless internet network system at Whitinsville Christian School, and $531 to purchase 13 animals for needy people through World Vision.
