Summer

My name is Summer, and I'm a sweet, energetic one year old mixed breed (pittie? lab? kelpie? it's a mystery!) who loves people. I weigh in at a handy 35 lbs. You may have noticed my magnificent ears! They're very beautiful, aren't they?

Zeke

Meet Zeke! Zeke is a sweet 2 year old rat terrier who is currently 22 lbs (don't tell him, but he should probably slim down a bit).

Zeke is a quick learner-- he already knows sit and down and is working on come. Like most terriers, he can have his own ideas about things, and he's energetic and loves to chase the squirrels and rabbits in the back yard. He's an active boy who likes to play tug with his sock toy and gets very excited for walks. He will be happiest with active exercise every day.

Rufus

Do you like big mutts with huge smiles? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs of love I am the largest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right! I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me.

At just 3 years old, I am in doggie adolescence. Like all adolescents I need patience and consistent training to mature into the awesome dog I am destined to be.

Sadie

My name is Sadie and I am about 5 years old. I’m a pittie mix (I think!) and really want to be your new best friend. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, including heart worm and flea/tick and I’m already spayed.

I do OK with dog saavy cats and I’m ok with other dogs that live in my foster home. I love to play and I have so much energy and really want to be on the trails, out running, or going on adventures! The couch might be my new favorite place when I'm in the house though! I would benefit from a quiet home with an experienced owner.

Mrs. Maisel

Mrs. Maisel is a darling, affectionate 14 year old with plushy all-black fur and big bright eyes. Her favorite things are love, love, more love, and cheese. She purrs and kneads her round little paws and bonks you with her little round head and wants all the pats. She responds to attention lovingly but with the occasional light love-nip, so she's looking for an adult-only home with people who are used to cat body-language. She enjoys having her silky-soft fur brushed and will make a fabulous companion. She is living in a foster home with several other kitties and a cat-friendly dog.

Floyd

Floyd is brown and white tabby boy, about 9 and a half years old. A chatty boy, he enjoys trilling and rolling around on his back, and loves being petted and given scritches.

Floyd eats prescription urinary care food to stay in shape, has a good appetite, and likes to scoop the remaining bits of wet food from the bowl and and lick them off his paw.

Eliot

Small, dark, and handsome, Eliot is a charming fellow whose past is a mystery because he was found as a stray. He is black with a small patch of white on his chest.

When Eliot came to BTR, the vet saw that he had an awkward way of sitting with his right rear leg extended straight out -- doubtless the result of an old leg injury that didn't heal properly and got in Eliot's way. The bad leg was subsequently removed to make Eliot more comfortable and he's made a wonderful recovery.

Sully

Sully is a gentle sweethearted male cat who was abandoned and left on the street in West Boylston by his owner. This outgoing black and white short-haired boy can't wait to get out and explore, loves attention, and can say "Hello" -- sometimes when you're not looking and then wind up wondering where the greeting came from.

If you are interested in finding out more about Sully, please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the following link into your browser.
