Old Sturbridge Village will present "From Field to Table" October 18 through October 19.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet oxen with their drivers, see multiple teams demonstrate plowing and preparing the fields, and catch an ox plowing match.

The Cider Mill will be operating this weekend, with apples ground by ox-power on Saturday and the pulp pressed for its juice on Sunday. The hand-powered "cider mill" will be available to show how cider is made.

Costumed interpreters will demonstrate:

-Harvest root vegetables
-Put the Parsonage Garden "to bed" for the season
-Conduct garden and root cellar tours and discuss food preparation
-Thresh and winnow grain
-Shell and sort beans
-Extract and bake with honey
