StrangeCreek Campout
Wormtown Trading Company will present the
12th Annual StrangeCreek Campout music and camping festival at
Camp Kee-Wanee in Greenfield, MA on Memorial Day Weekend.
A lineup of over 80 bands
Running from May 23-26, the festival will feature 3 days and nights of music and camping. Gates open Friday morning at 9am and campgrounds clear Monday at 1pm.
This year’s StrangeCreek Campout will be headlined by national touring acts Rusted Root, Donna the Buffalo and Zach Deputy. Veteran favorites, Max Creek and Boston singer/songwriter Ryan Montbleau, will return to play as well.
The lineup includes over 80 bands, drawn predominantly from the Northeast but also featuring acts from around the country. Bands play on several stages throughout the wooded campgrounds, while others are roaming entertainers.
Children's activities, art gallery, and community bonfire
The festival also features an offering of family and kids activities. Children will have the opportunity to perform a musical set on the main stage on Sunday morning.
The ‘Holistic Village’ features wellness-oriented activities such as yoga, meditation, Qigong and Kung Fu.
An art gallery will display works by artistic attendees. The community bonfire, a frequent gathering place, features drum circles and professional fire spinners. A variety of craft and food vendors will be available.
StrangeCreek has hosted weddings of campers in the past. This year, Wormtown founder Mark Blanchette will exchange vows with his long-time partner Debbie Lee on the main stage on Sunday.
“I’m treating this year’s StrangeCreek as our wedding reception,” explains Blanchette. “There will be a bunch of special touches and surprises to mark the occasion.”
