Coming Tuesday: The Most and Least Diverse High Schools In MA

Monday, February 18, 2013

Which Massachusetts high schools are truly the most--and least--diverse? GoLocal's latest ranking has the answer.

What are Massachusetts' most--and least--diverse high schools?

GoLocal's new ranking, which will be be released on Tuesday, February 19th has the answer.

From the urban high schools of Boston, Worcester and Springfield to the rural high schools in the Berkshires; from public high schools to charters and magnet schools, GoLocal has crunched all the latest enrollment data to reveal which high schools achieve the most racial and ethnic diversity. And which schools don't.

The numbers

GoLocal's researchers have assessed every Massachusetts high school's racial and ethnic breakdowns, and analyzed how well--or poorly--those percentages of enrollment compare to an ideal diversity of student population. You'll see how every school performed and ranked, and be able to compare percentages among all of the state's public and charter high schools. You'll also hear from administrators and educators at both ends of the list addressing how they handle diversity at their schools, and what it means to their students.

Who lands at the top, and who is at the bottom? You may be surprised at what the numbers reveal. Don't miss GoLocal's latest look at Massachusetts high schools.

How did your school do?

Coming Tuesday.
