MA State Police Colonel Releases Statement on Hernandez Verdict

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Following this morning's verdict in the Aaron Hernandez case, Massachusetts State Police Colonel Timothy Alben released a statement on congratulating the Bristol District Attorney's office for a "masterful prosecution strategy."

As GoLocal Worcester reported, Hernandez was found Guilty of Murder in the First Degree for the murder of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez was also charged with one count of carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of possessing a large-capacity firearm and two counts of possessing a firearm without a firearm identification card.

Here is Colonel Alben's statement:

“I want to congratulate District Attorney Quinn and particularly Assistant DA Bill McCauley on today’s guilty verdicts in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial. Working with our Detectives assigned to the Bristol DA’s Office and the North Attleboro PD, this team worked relentlessly in putting together a masterful prosecution strategy and presenting the Commonwealth’s evidence that resulted in today’s verdict. The citizens of Bristol County and this Commonwealth can take great pride and satisfaction in knowing that justice has been served in this case and that no one is above the law.”
