Sen. Moore Announces Return of “Free Fun Fridays”

Tuesday, June 07, 2016

Senator Michael Moore has announced the return of 'Free Fun Fridays' during summer 2016. The program is coordinated by the Highland Street Foundation and provides free entry to 80 museums and cultural events across the Commonwealth.

“This free event series is a great opportunity for friends and families across the state. By providing free access to cultural landmarks in our state, this programming empowers parents and youth to make the most of their summer.  I encourage area residents to spread the word to family, friends, coworkers and neighbors who may be interested," said Moore.

Since 2009, Free Fun Fridays have allowed local residents to visit treasured cultural venues and recreational activities throughout the state at no cost. The event series will begin on Friday, June 24 and will continue through Friday, August 26.

Worcester area attractions include the Worcester Art Museum, EcoTarium, the Worcester Historical Museum and Old Sturbridge Village.
