Up to 5 Inches of Snow Predicted for Worcester Starting Sunday

The NWS map of the possibility of more than 0.1" in snow on Sunday across Worcester and Southern New England.

The National Weather Service is predicting the possibility of snow starting Sunday for Worcester.

NWS posted a map Friday morning of southern New England showing the percent chance of 0.1” snow or more at 92% in Worcester through Monday, December 2. 

The Weather Service says that 3-5 inches of snow is possible in Worcester starting after 2 p.m on Sunday, December 1. 

For Worcester

According to NWS as of Friday, the forecast for Worcester is as follows:

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 35. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 19. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Sunday: Snow likely, mainly after 2 pm.  Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Snow before 2am, then rain. Low around 27. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Monday: Snow before 11am, then rain and snow between 11am and noon, then snow after noon. High near 31. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Monday Night: Snow likely, mainly before 7pm. Cloudy, with a low around 25. North wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
