Seven applicants have recently applied to interview for the position of Head Librarian at Worcester Public Library. Following the abrupt resignation of Christopher Korenowsky in July, the Library is searching for its fifth Head Librarian in five years. The $112, 000 per year position has eluded any consistency since Penelope Johnson retired in 2009 after 18 years as Head Librarian.

Amanda and Teddy Zawalick tried to start a family as soon as they were married last October. This past March, Amanda found out she was pregnant. Initially, everything went well during the pregnancy. Amanda never got too sick, she was never too uncomfortable and she loved knowing that she was going to have a baby. They had decided to name their baby girl, Brielle.

Great things continue to happen at South High! Several days ago a Pep Rally took place at noon with shouts from the Cheerleaders as they waved their pom-poms and the award winning school band played “Moves Like Jagger” while the seniors marched into the school’s auditorium.

I heard one of my mentors give this great analogy: if you lift weights or strength train with a weak core, it’s like firing a cannon from a canoe. Think about it! Or, I say, it’s like building a fortress on sandbags.
I see it daily: Guys in the gym killing themselves for an hour, then get on some “ab” machine, or do a few minutes of crunches and then go home. Sure, they can look great, from a distance.
