Complete Details of Brady’s Contract With Tampa Released

Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the details of his contract have been released.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brady’s deal with Tampa is for two-years worth $50 million, all guaranteed.

“I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the Buccaneers for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me,” wrote Brady in a Facebook post on Friday.

Schefter adds that the contract includes up to $9 million in incentives over the two seasons, meaning Brady could earn as much as $59 million.

As part of the contract, the Buccaneers can not trade or franchise tag him.

Brady With Patriots

In 19 seasons with the Patriots, Brady played in 285 games and threw for 74,571 yards and 541 touchdowns.

He led the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles and nine Super Bowl appearances.

Last season, Brady threw for 4,057 yards and 24 touchdowns, but also had eight interceptions. Helping the Patriots to a 12-4 overall record.

The Patriots lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Tennessee Titans.

About The Bucs

The Buccaneers have had two winning seasons in their last ten years and haven’t made the playoffs since 2007. 

They haven’t won a playoff game since 2003.

Tampa Bay is coached by Bruce Arians, while the offense is coached by former NFL quarterback Byron Leftwich.

Tampa is loaded on offense with receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, as well as, tight ends O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate.
