Charter Communications & Nomorobo Team up to Block Telemarketers, Robocalls

Thursday, November 10, 2016

Charter Communications’ Spectrum Voice customers will now have the ability to stop telemarketing and robocalls with Nomorobo, a third party call blocking application.

“Customers now have even more control over the calls that come into their homes. Nomorobo is one of the many ways we continue to enhance customers’ home phone experience with unmatched reliability and service in addition to a wide range of popular advanced phone features available at no extra cost,” said Rich DiGeronimo, Charter’s Executive Vice President, Products and Strategy.

Nomorobo

Nomorobo automatically blocks unwanted phone calls from telemarketers and robocallers using a list of known unwanted phone numbers including those on the “Do Not Call” Registry.

The call rings both on the home line and the Nomorobo platform simultaneously. If Nomorobo recognizes the call is from an unwanted number, it will be blocked.

Charter and Nomorobo

Charter teamed with Nomorobo to bring the call-blocking technology to customers in its efforts to reduce the growing concern over robocalls.

The company is part of the Federal Communications Commission’s Robocall Strike Force, an industry-led group focused on speeding up the development and adoption of new tools and solutions to prevent robocalls.
