Summer

My name is Summer, and I'm a sweet, energetic 1.5 year old mixed breed who loves people. I weigh in at a handy 35 lbs., and when I got my DNA test it turned out I'm a mix of working breeds. You may have noticed my magnificent ears! They're very beautiful, aren't they?

Here's the deal. I am fit and energetic so I do need a home that can meet my exercise needs. Once I get my zoomies out I am ready to follow you around the house and hang out. I am also very smart and curious. My dream is an active owner who can provide the time, predictability, and structure that I thrive with. I need a backyard with a physical fence (not an invisible fence)-- I'll happily go running with you, but I need to play in an open space as well. I am very food motivated, and I will learn what you want very quickly!

Butterbean

I'm Butterbean, an adorable young, neutered male chihuahua mix with a contagious smile. I am 2 years old and a pipsqueak. I only weigh 9 lbs.

Butterbean loves the ladies but is not so fond of men or children. Butterbean has been traumatized in his past so he's afraid of men and teenage boys. He needs a home with an experienced, patient woman who understands that this little guy needs time to settle in and feel secure. He's an affectionate boy when he accepts you. He likes other dogs so a dog buddy would be great. He loves to go for a walk and gets excited when he sees the leash. Playing fetch is his favorite game but he's not so good at giving up the ball! Butterbean sleeps quietly in his crate at night. Up to date on all his shots, negative for heart worm and Lyme and micro-chipped too.

Pippa

This is a courtesy post. Broken Tail Rescue is assisting the current caretaker in rehoming Pippa. All applications will be forwarded to her temporary caretaker.

Pippa is a sweet seven-year-old, 42-pound Pit-Boston Terrier mix in need of a new loving forever home. She is healthy and up to date on immunizations. She's eager to match whatever energy level you're at - whether that means a long walk through the woods or an afternoon lounging in the sun or on the couch. Pippa's past included a caretaker that had a lot on their plate. Pippa spent too much time alone and now resits being in a crate. She is house trained and is not destructive when left alone in her new temporary caretaker's room.

Prada

My name is Prada and I have designs on you! I am a tiny little lady (11 lbs) and am believed to be just a pup. The vet guesstimated me to be about 8 months old.

My furrowed brow makes me appear worried and to be honest, right now I am. I just got to my new foster home and I am not quite sure what to expect yet. When I am scared, I can be a bit growly and barky but I warm up quickly. I am already following my foster mom around like a puppy dog. So far I have been very quiet. I am crate trained. I have the occasional accident in the house but I definitely know how to do my business outside. I just need frequent potty breaks. I love other dogs. At first, I can be a bit of a pest but it is just because I am so eager to play. I would love a home with a calm, confident dog to take my lead from.

Sadie

My name is Sadie and I am about 5 years old. I’m a pittie mix (I think!) and really want to be your new best friend. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, including heart worm and flea/tick and I’m already spayed.

I do OK with dog saavy cats and I’m ok with other dogs that live in my foster home. I love to play and I have so much energy and really want to be on the trails, out running, or going on adventures! The couch might be my new favorite place when I'm in the house though! I would benefit from a quiet home with an experienced owner.

Allesandra

She tolerates my dogs and seems to be warming up to my friendly resident cat. She is especially interested in people, all people, and would likely be happy as a single cat. She purrs the moment she gets pats and loves to give head butts.

Cindy

Cindy is a young adult cat who was is being fostered in Cambridge, MA. While she is initially shy of new people, once she warms up and trusts her people, she is a total love.

Cindy also loves attention, treats, and other cats; her foster brother has really helped her to come out of her shell even more, and we believe she would do best in a home with a friendly resident cat who can show her the ropes. Cindy is very playful and once she is comfortable, she wants nothing more than to run around and play with a cat friend.

Floyd

Floyd is a brown and white tabby boy, about 9 and a half years old. A chatty boy, he enjoys trilling and rolling around on his back, and loves being petted and given scritches.

Floyd eats prescription urinary care food to stay in shape, has a good appetite, and likes to scoop the remaining bits of wet food from the bowl and and lick them off his paw.

Mrs. Maisel

Mrs. Maisel is a darling, affectionate 14 year old with plushy all-black fur and big bright eyes. Her favorite things are love, love, more love, and cheese. She purrs and kneads her round little paws and bonks you with her little round head and wants all the pats. She responds to attention lovingly but with the occasional light love-nip, so she's looking for an adult-only home with people who are used to cat body-language. She enjoys having her silky-soft fur brushed and will make a fabulous companion. She is living in a foster home with several other kitties and a cat-friendly dog.

Zane

Zane is a great guy! He takes a little while to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, it’s all pets, purrs, and cheek scratches. He can’t get enough. He's got a luxuriously soft coat that is a pleasure to pet.
