Handel’s Messiah- a Worcester Chorus Annual Holiday Tradition
Under the direction of Chris Shepard, The Worcester Chorus of Music Worcester will return to historic Mechanics Hall to continue its great holiday tradition: a complete performance of Handel's greatest choral work, The Messiah. Music Worcester presents the Worcester Chorus, full orchestra, acclaimed vocal soloists, and The Festival Singers: a group of Worcester-area vocal students coached by members of The Worcester Chorus. As a result of a successful fundraising campaign to record last year’s performance, charter TV 3 made the recording which it will be streaming it on its TV channel this holiday season.

Immigrant & Refugee Stories by WWOHP
Worcester Public Library
The Worcester Women’s Oral History Project collects, preserves, and shares the stories of Worcester women including the stories of immigrants who have lived in Worcester for many years and have established themselves as doctors, entrepreneurs, teachers, and directors of nonprofit organizations. This year WWOHP has collaborated with five Worcester organizations that work with immigrants and refugees in order to gather stories of women who have more recently emigrated from a variety of countries, including Colombia, Algeria, Brazil, China, and Burma. The refugee support organizations include: The Clemente Course in the Humanities, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester, The Educational Bridge Center at Notre Dame Health, Refugee Artisans of Worcester, and Worcester Refugee Assistance Project.

Brown Bag Concert: NEC Symphonic Winds & Chamber Singers with Navy Band Northeast
This annual holiday concert serves up the spirit of the season in a big way. Bill Drury and Erica Washburn from New England Conservatory conduct a broad repertoire. Also performing, Navy Band Northeast, a 35 musician ensemble based on board NAVSTA Newport and one of 11 official U.S. Navy bands worldwide.
