Holy Cross Ranked Among Best Liberal Arts Colleges in U.S.

According to U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 rankings, Holy Cross is ranked in a tie for 33rd for best National Liberal Arts College. Bucknell and Pitzer College are also ranked 33rd.
Holy Cross was ranked 32nd last year.
“College of the Holy Cross is a private institution that was founded in 1843. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 2,941, its setting is suburban, and the campus size is 174 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. College of the Holy Cross's ranking in the 2018 edition of Best Colleges is National Liberal Arts Colleges, 33. Its tuition and fees are $50,630 (2017-18),” wrote U.S. News & World Report about Holy Cross.

Williams College is ranked as the top Liberal Arts College in the country. Amherst College is ranked second.
Central MA College Rankings
Assumption is ranked 28 in the north among Regional Universities after being ranked 23rd last year.
Worcester Polytechnic is ranked 61st among National Universities after they were ranked 60th last year.
Clark University is ranked 81st among National Universities. They were ranked 74th last year.
Worcester State University is ranked 116th in the north among Regional Universities. They were ranked 118th last year.

Note as to categories: Schools in the National Universities category, such as Brown University and URI, offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus masters and Ph.D. programs. These colleges also are committed to producing groundbreaking research. Liberal Arts Colleges are schools like Williams, which emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the liberal arts fields of study. Regional Universities offer a full range of undergrad programs and some master's programs but few doctoral programs, and Regional Colleges focus on undergraduate education but grant fewer than half their degrees in liberal arts disciplines.
