NEW: 3 Teens Injured in Shooting on Ward Street Sunday Night

On Sunday evening, three teenagers were shot in an apparent car chase on Ward Street. According to the Worcester Police Department, witnesses stated that a white colored SUV and a dark colored sedan traveling north on South Ward Street were bumping fenders before a passenger in the SUV fired several shots into the sedan.

The SUV fled north on Ward Street after the shots were fired. The sedan drove off heading east on Stone Street.

Worcester Police officers received information that three male victims had arrived at a local hospital. All three males suffered non life threatening injuries. Two of the victims are 18-years-old. One is 17-years-old. 

Officers arrived at the hospital and spoke with the victims. Officers were told that five males were in the sedan when someone from the SUV fired at them striking three of the occupants. After the shooting, the operator drove the victims to the hospital.

WPD detectives were called in to investigate this incident. At this time there is limited suspect information as well as limited information on the suspect vehicle.
