Monday, March 21, 2016

An undercover Worcester police vice officer arrested two men and a women on drug charges on Friday, March 18 while working a patrol in the Vernon Hill area. Those that were arrested were Stephen Fox, Jr., Maxwell Dellolio-Lavensk, and Mariah Ayres.

Ayers, 22, of 15 Lamplighter Drive, Shrewsbury was charged with Possession of Class A Substance, while Fox, 24, of 215 May Street, Worcester and Dellolio-Lavensk, 25, of 25 Queen Street, Worcester were both charged with Knowingly Being Present Where Heroin is Kept.

All three will be arraigned today in Worcester County District Courthouse.

Making the Arrests

The undercover officer was patrolling Vernon Hill with several other unmarked units due to the known drug activity taking place in that area as well as information obtained by members of the community.

At approximately 12 p.m., the officer saw a green Pontiac parked on Euclid and Vernon Streets, facing the wrong way and two feet from the curb. The officer saw three occupants in the vehicle, Fox, Dellolio-Lavensk and Ayres.

After observing the occupants talking on a cell phone, leaving the vehicle and reentering nervously counting money and al three of them staring at the center console, the officer, along with a second undercover officer approached.

The three were startled by the officers presence and Ayers was quick to close her purse. Officers demanded to see their hands and all complied except Fox. Other officers arrived on the scene and all three occupants were removed from the vehicle.

Officers observed in plain view drug paraphernalia commonly used during the preparation of heroin for injection.

Officers also discovered an uncapped needle and syringe in the hand of Dellolio-Lavensk, a small plastic baggie was found in the hand of Fox and a "loaded" needle and syringe was discovered inside Ayers purse.

The needle contained a brown liquid which the officers believed to be heroin.
