Worcester’s North High Welcomes Back ‘Scolars’
Wednesday, August 26, 2015
On Tuesday, a sign at the school read "Welcome Back Scolars."
For a school that was routinely on the front pages earlier this year for fights, arrests, bomb threats, assaults, and an email from the principal to the entire staff accusing a teacher of causing possible race relation problems, this is probably not the way North wanted to start the new school year.
Later on in the evening, someone had changed the sign with the correct spelling of "Scholars."
School starts for Worcester Public School students in grades 1-12 on Wednesday morning.
