“Patriarca said that this ‘is the last straw’; that anyone who would call upon law enforcement to help them when they have a problem has got to be a ‘stool pigeon.”

 

PAGE 30 Joseph Valachi called to be deposed in Patriarca’s lawsuit against the Boston Herald.

“VALACHI explained a deposition is being taken from him, inasmuch as he, VALACHI, is in a position to identify PATRIARCA as a member of La Cosa Nostra.”

“VALACHI stated that he is not in a position to identify PATRIARCA as a Cosa Nostra boss but only as a soldier at the time, he, VALACHI met him.”

 

PAGE 32 “…that REDACT and JOSEPH BARBOZA requested permission from PATRIARCA to kill EDWARD ‘TEDDY’ DEEGAN, as they are having a problem with him. PATRIARCA ultimately furnished this ‘OK.”
