Patriots Left Tackle Isaiah Wynn Returns from Injured Reserve

Thursday, October 31, 2019

New England Patriots left tackle Isaiah Wynn returned to practice on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium.

Wynn was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury following New England’s week two game against the Dolphins.

Per NFL rules, Wynn is eligible to practice this week, but not eligible to play in a game until week 12 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Wynn With Patriots

The Patriots picked Wynn number 23 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

However, he has seen limited action due to injury over his two seasons in the NFL.

In his rookie season, Wynn tore his Achilles in a preseason game and missed the remainder of the year.

This season, he started the Patriots first two games before suffering a foot injury that saw him sent to injured reserve.

Injured Reserve Reset

Wynn’s attendance at practice means that the Patriots can not bring anyone else back from the IR or NFI (Non-Football Injury list).

Earlier this month, the Patriots brought rookie receiver N’Keal Harry off of IR and he is eligible to play on Sunday.

Players still on the list, and who will be out for the season include fullback James Develin, kicker Stephen Gostkowski, and fullback Jakob Johnson.

Receiver Josh Gordon is also on IR, however, the Patriots are expected to release him once he is healthy.

Next Up

The Patriots return to action on Sunday, November 3 when they visit the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football.

Game time is set for 8:20 p.m.
