MA Gas Prices Drop 7 Cents from Last Week

“Pump prices are declining significantly as the global economy faces downward pressure from COVID-19 fears and the ongoing crude price war between Russia and OPEC nations. Consumers can expect to see continued savings as the industry factors in a fully 50% decrease in the price of a barrel of oil since mid-January,” said Mary Maguire, Director, Public and Legislative Affairs.
AAA Northeast’s March 16 survey of prices in Massachusetts finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.29 per gallon.
Massachusetts’s price is four cents above the national average of $2.25.
A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was 15 cents higher at $2.44 per gallon.

$2.29 ($1.99-$2.69) Regular Unleaded
$2.79 ($2.29-$3.19) Midgrade Unleaded
$2.88 ($2.49-$3.45) Premium Unleaded
$2.82 ($2.59-$3.29) Diesel
