Auburn Chamber Announces Increase of $6,000 in Scholarship Funds

The Auburn Chamber of Commerce has announced an increase of $6,000 in scholarship funds for a total of $19,000 available to award starting this year. 

Scholarships are available through the Auburn Chamber's website and in school guidance department offices. 

Scholarships include:  

Academic Scholarships – up to 9 scholarships totaling $10,500. For any senior student who is an Auburn resident that fits the criteria. 

Career Trade Scholarship – up to 1 scholarship totaling $1,000. For any senior student who is an Auburn resident that fits the criteria. The student is required to be continuing their trade, and the funds will go towards tools for their trade.

Chamber Member Scholarships – up to 4 scholarships totaling $7,500. For any child of an Auburn Chamber Member, including all their employees who have a senior student continuing their education in an accredited post-secondary school. Senior students who are employed by a member organization are also eligible. Students are not required to reside in the town of Auburn for this scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, community/school involvement, financial need and personal interviews with members of the Chamber's school/business Partnership Committee. 

The application containing the criteria is online. The deadline is Wednesday, March 2 and must be postmarked by that date.
