Alzheimer’s Association to Host Free Talk in Worcester on New Research

The Presentation will take place on April 18 at Quinsigamond Community College.
The program is free and open to the public.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s disease is America’s most expensive disease, costing the nation $259 billion a year.
“Because of this trajectory and the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on families, finding meaningful treatment and a cure is one of our top priorities. AlzTalks is our way of giving the public a chance to hear from a local leading researcher on where we are today and what is on the horizon for the future,” said Jim Wessler, President, and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The program will feature speaker Rhoda Au, PhD. Currently serving as Director of Neuropsychology at the Framingham Heart Study.
Au has been involved in research related to cognitive aging and preclinical dementia since 1990.
Most recently, she has integrated digital technology into the cognitive assessment process.
