Louie

Louie is a super cute 10 year old schnauzer mix who weighs 20 lbs. He's a friendly, active guy who gets along with cats, dogs, and people. He has a lot of energy for a senior and would make a great walking buddy, but he also loves to sit on your lap. He does like to bark at new people, so he might not be a good fit for an apartment with a lot of people passing by in the hallways.

Rufus

Do you like big mutts with huge smiles? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs of love I am the largest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right! I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me.

At just 3 years old, I am in doggie adolescence. Like all adolescents I need patience and consistent training to mature into the awesome dog I am destined to be.

Sadie

My name is Sadie and I am about 5 years old. I’m a pittie mix (I think!) and really want to be your new best friend. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, including heart worm and flea/tick and I’m already spayed.

I do OK with dog saavy cats and I’m ok with other dogs that live in my foster home. I love to play and I have so much energy and really want to be on the trails, out running, or going on adventures! The couch might be my new favorite place when I'm in the house though! I would benefit from a quiet home with an experienced owner.

Summer

What season is this? Summer? Well then, let’s get busy with an application so Summer (AKA me) can enjoy the summer with a new family! My 2nd birthday is coming up and a new home would be the best present ever.

According to my DNA test I’m part cattle dog and boxer! My foster parents say they “love me to pieces.” Not sure what that means, but I think it’s a good thing. I’m a pretty, young girl who loves to be petted and weigh 35-40 pounds. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, have all my shots and spayed. I’m ready to go!

Jackson

Meet Jackson! Jackson is a 12 year old toy poodle who weighs 12 pounds. He came to Brokentail Rescue extremely matted and neglected. He immediately got a hair cut and a nail trim, but his hair will need to be leveled out once it grows in a bit. He mostly sleeps and wants a lap to lounge in. He's a great companion and really loves his people.

Cindy

Cindy is a young adult cat who was is being fostered in Cambridge, MA. While she is initially shy of new people, once she warms up and trusts her people, she is a total love.

Cindy also loves attention, treats, and other cats; her foster brother has really helped her to come out of her shell even more, and we believe she would do best in a home with a friendly resident cat who can show her the ropes. Cindy is very playful and once she is comfortable, she wants nothing more than to run around and play with a cat friend.

Tommy is a gentle 5 year old boy with a beautiful white coat. He is a little reserved but friendly and sweet. He is on special food that helps with gastrointestinal discomfort.

Hello gorgeous! Who is this tabby goddess?

Thea is a lovely, 3 year old tabby who was found as a stray and is now looking to find her furever home and the lucky purrson who understands what a gift it is to share your life with that special someone of the feline purrsuasion.

Mni Winnie

Mini Winnie is a tiny little bundle of personality. She takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she melts into a puddle of gooey affection. She loves being around her human and follows me from room to room. Once I sit down, she is immediately in my lap, kneading, purring and suckling on my clothes. She doesn't get along with my resident cat, but did get along with a cat at a previous foster home. She is a good eater, but isn't very food motivated. She does have gorgeous, long, and incredibly soft fur. We've given her a lion cut for the summer, and she will probably require regular grooming to keep her coat clean and downy-soft.

Jasper

Jasper thinks the Lion King was miscast with Simba in the lead role instead of him! He is a fluffy 6 year old Siamese who is very curious and affectionate with his human caretakers. He lived with a dog roommate for a few years in the past and liked the company.

Jasper is a little stressed in new environments and other cats so needs a quiet home where he can have time to get comfortable. He may be okay with a gentle cat sibling over time and a long introduction. He seeks out head rubs and attention but lets you know when he's had enough and needs his space.
