The team's boss Larry Lucchino was beaming as all of Worcester's VIPs and former Boston Red Sox stars Luis Tiant, Pedro Martinez and others adorned the stage.
The Worcester City Council gave final approval to the financing package -- considered one of the richest in minor league sports history -- last week.
