The Holy Cross Crusaders football team fell 45-7 to Navy on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Crusaders open the year at 0-1, while Navy starts the season 1-0.

Holy Cross Falls to Navy

Navy opened the game by jumping out to a 17-0 lead before the Crusaders got on the board.

Holy Cross scored on a 16-yard scoring run by senior running back Miles Alexander, before Navy’s Malcolm Perry scored on a one-yard run with 10 seconds left in the half to make the score 24-7 heading into the break.

Navy’s Nelson Smith added two more touchdowns for the Midshipmen in the second half, as Navy scored 21 unanswered points after the intermission to conclude the scoring.

Next Up

Holy Cross returns to action Saturday, September 7 when they host New Hampshire.

Game time is set for 1 p.m.
