Holy Cross Football Hosts Georgetown in Final Home Game of Season

Peter Pujals will play his final home game

The Holy Cross Crusaders football team (2-6,1-2 PL) will play their final home game of the regular season on Saturday when they host (1-6, 0-2 PL) Georgetown at Fitton Field.

The senior members of the Crusader team will be honored on the field prior to kickoff at approximately 12:50 p.m.

Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.

Holy Cross vs Georgetown

The Crusaders and Hoyas will meet for the 30th time in program history on Saturday, with Holy Cross holding an 18-11 advantage in the series.

In the last meeting, back in November of 2016, Holy Cross edged Georgetown 21-20.

Holy Cross Offense

The Crusaders offense comes as the 24th best passing offense in the country, averaging 261 yards per game.

Quarterback Peter Pujals has completed 180 of his 331 passes for 2,068 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.

His top target has been wide receiver Blaise Bell, who has hauled in 36 catches for 443 yards and five touchdowns, while Martin Dorsey has caught 31 passes for 412 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Gabe Guild leads Holy Cross with 300 rushing yards on 68 carries.

Holy Cross Defense

The Holy Cross defense enters the game as the 27th-best third-down conversion defense in the nation, allowing teams to convert only 33% of the time.

The defense is led by linebacker Nick McBeath, who has racked up 83 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Fellow linebacker Ryan Brady leads Holy Cross with 84 tackles, three sacks and eight tackles for loss.
