Big Tig

Say hello to Big Tig! He is a very handsome boy with a sad past. He came to Broken Tail Rescue as a stray from Dorchester. He was living outside is a rough area where no one was caring for the cats in the neighborhood. One of the women that helps gets cats TNR'd brought him to us in a last ditch effort to save him from having to go back there with no caregiver and no food.

Winston

Winston (aka Manny) is a big, fluffy, laid back Maine Coon cat and is around 6 years old. He enjoys spending his days lounging around his foster parent's home, rolling back and forth and sometimes settling onto his back with his paws up in the air. Winston is a loving, curious fellow, enjoys being petted, and will gladly accept regular brushings to help keep his long coat soft and groomed!

Pheasant

Pheasant, like many of our rescues, was once upon a time someone’s pet. He was rescued off the streets after being abandoned for quite a while. As you can see from his pictures, he suffered an eye injury and bares numerous scars from just trying to stay alive. What wasn’t injured was his spirit. He loves to sit on laps when you work, but is polite enough not to walk on your keyboard. While you read, he will cozy in on your chest, purring away. He is neat as can be, no accidents and will sit up for treats.

Clara

Clara is an extremely sweet girl and a joy to be around, She is very friendly and loves to sit on your lap and will follow when you leave the room. She even enjoys company! Our vets estimated her to be about 5 years old. Clara does have food allergies so she is on a special diet - but she's worth it! Her food is readily found at most pet stores, including Petco and Petsmart.

Della

I'm Della, and I'm friendly and fun! I'm about 6 years old, but I'm so active and playful that my foster mom thought I was much younger. I am also a snuggle bug and will lay on you for petting; my cheeks especially! I was adopted from another shelter by my previous owner about a year ago, but they couldn't keep me, so I need a new family again -- this time forever. I don't love other cats, but I live with one now, and we mostly just ignore each other. I'm diabetic, but don't let that faze you! I just need a quick insulin shot twice a day at mealtimes, and they're not hard to give. And I'm worth it!

Benny

I’m Benny! I weigh 15lbs and my foster mom thinks that I am a Tibetan spaniel/ dachshund mix that might be between 5-7 years old. We will have a better estimate once I go to the vet next week. I can be a little bit timid when I first meet you, but once I warm up, I’ll be your best friend! I’m a happy little guy that loves to prance around the house and wag my feathery tail all about. I have been very friendly and playful with the dogs I’ve met in my foster home. My favorite place to relax is in a warm lap. I am making great progress with house-training!

Coleman

Coleman is a good boy who wants nothing more than to be with his person and love on them. His favorite past time is snuggling up to his foster mom and the couch or in bed. However, while he loves cuddling, he has a new-found love of cat toys and playing fetch. When he is feeling playful, he will drop his toy at your feet and wait for you to throw!
