Haley loves all people and is so smart she's hanging out at Harvard! Haley enjoys playing with toys, eating treats, and learning her leash manners. She would make a great companion for a family with kids 12 and older, as in her excitement for life she might knock down a younger child. Haley has lived with cats in her foster home, and while she's interested in them, her approach is curiosity. While Haley gets along with other dogs her preference is for them to have mellow personalities.

Lucky Duck

My name is Lucky and I'm a Jerk. A lovable jerk, but still a jerk until we get to know each other, that is. Then I am the most wonderful, face-licking, couch-cuddling dog you've ever met! 

I'm about 3 years old and weigh around 20 lbs. I enjoy walks (short or long), car rides, treats, lying in the sun, body massages, and cuddling with my foster mum. I have something that causes my skin to be super-itchy. Since coming into Broken Tail Rescue, I've been given 2 cytopoint injections that last about 8 weeks. It really helps in reducing my itchiness and it's something I will probably have to be given for the rest of my life, or until we know what is causing it. Another thing I need to take for life is thyroid medication which is not expensive.

Sassy

This little girl is Sassy, an 11-14 year old Chihuahua who weighs just under four pounds. Sassy is an absolute love who wants nothing more than to crawl into a lap and cuddle. She also still has a good amount of spunk though too and will run around outside playing with kids and soaking up their attention. Sassy is good with dogs, cats and kids but can be a little in-your-face with larger dogs when she is on the couch or around food. For this reason her ideal home would be with someone where she can be the only dog or with another small dog. She likes being with people so someone who is home frequently and not gone from the home for 8+ hours a day five days a week is required. Also, because she can be quite vocal she will only be adopted to a home where there are no shared walls with neighbors unless you own the apartment the neighbors live in.

Pretzel

Hi! My name is Pretzel and I’m a dapper, young, 55lb male pit bull mix just looking for my happily ever after. I’m a very excitable guy and I just want to see and do everything I can. I haven’t had much experience with different things but boy do I want to learn! I had an evaluation done before I came to my foster home and the nice lady said I did very well with all of the tests. All I know is they kept giving me some yummy treats so I was in heaven. I would do whatever you wanted for yummy treats.

Allie

Allie is kind of a diva in the best way possible. She is very curious- she likes to follow you around the house and prefers affection in small doses. She is on the smaller side with a beautiful, soft calico coat that barely sheds. 

Allie may be twelve but she looks and acts like a five year old! She is always bouncing around, exploring boxes, hiding under blankets and making herself little nests on the couch.

Let this charming, quirky girl get to know you and become your lifelong friend! 

Babs was surrendered by her previous owners when a relative moved into the house and was allergic to her. She is wonderfully playful and particularly loves her "bird-on-a-string" feather toy, and is not shy about showing it off! When around her favorite toy, she will go into an affectionate frenzy, rolling around, showing off her belly, and rubbing herself on her toy, your legs, and everything around you. She also loves treats!

Samantha

Samantha is a very regal tabby looking for her forever throne. Samantha was a stray in Chelsea, MA, and is very happy to be off the streets and on soft blankets where she belongs. Despite having the steely gaze of a queen, Samantha loves attention and was purring immediately upon arrival to the Adoption Center. She loves pets and neck scratches, but may give you a gentle paw swipe when she decides petting time is over.

April

April is a playful and energetic 2 year kitty with a beautiful and soft white coat, cute charcoal face mask, and black patches on her back and tail. 

April was surrendered from a house with many cats and likely did not receive much attention or human affection. She came to us as a very shy kitty, wary of new people. Since being in a foster home, she has blossomed and is now showing off her wonderful, lively personality. She is very energetic and LOVES to play! She’s content to explore and knock small toys around by herself, but she’ll leap to play with you when you give her lasers or strings to chase. She’s remarkably fast and athletic, and enjoys running regularly at top speed between rooms.

Muffy is an adorable senior kitty with a calm and quiet demeanor. She loves curling up by her human on the couch and begging for attention. Muffy is still a kitten at heart. She loves jumping around with a toy mouse or ball, and comes running when she hears the treat bag.
