Halloween Hike at Boo Meadow Brook 2019
At sundown, Broad Meadow Brook transforms into a magical, slightly haunted forest. Meet our resident spirits, primarily native wildlife, during a guided tour through the woods on trails lit by softly glowing luminaria.
Encounter old favorites and new characters on your walk as you learn about some of the creatures of New England and their many fascinating habits.

Archaic Avant-Garde at Worcester Art Museum
While modern and contemporary artists are known to have looked outside their immediate cultural realm to expand their sources for modern inspiration, many of them at the same time were also looking at their own culture's ancient techniques and forms.
Archaic Avant-Garde focuses on contemporary Japan's leading ceramicists who have explored and experimented with ancient Japanese pottery techniques and forms to invigorate their own modern creations.

Worcester Railers vs Maine Mariners at DCU Center
The Worcester Railers are back at the DCU Center to host the Maine Mariners on Friday night.
The Railers are 1-0 on the season after winning their home opener last week.

An Evening of Ballroom Dancing with the Dan Gabel and the Abletones at Mechanics Hall
Dan Gabel and The Abletones is an authentic 18-piece Big Band, specializing in the music of the 1930s and 40s. Bandleader Dan Gabel has played with the Glenn Miller Orchestra for over a year on a world-tour, played with the Tommy Dorsey and Hal McIntyre Orchestras, and is considered an expert on the big band era.
He graduated with a Master’s Degree in 2014 from New England Conservatory of Music, and is an active trombonist, arranger, bandleader, and teacher in the greater Boston music scene.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

H.P. Lovecraft: A Lecture with Local Author Matt Sanborn at Worcester Public Library
A discussion about the major works of New England writer H.P. Lovecraft. Presented by Matt Sanborn who, under the name of Matt Madigan, has five published novels and has written extensively on Lovecraft and other authors.
The event goes from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

A Celebration of Cider and Music Festival at Old Sturbridge Village
The Celebration of Cider and Music Festival is BACK for its second year! Building on our popular craft beer festival in July, we will showcase hard cider tastings along with several musical acts at multiple stages throughout the event.
With paid admission (or an active membership or season pass) to Old Sturbridge Village our guests (who are 21 and older and have shown a valid ID) will be given coupons to sample offerings (2 oz. pour) from 6 of their favorite ciders participating at the festival. They will also have the opportunity to purchase additional sample tickets or full pours of each of the ciders featured in the festival.
The event begins at 11 a.m.
