John Cusack Live with a Screening of Say Anything at Hanover Theatre 

The 1989 comedy/drama “Say Anything...” brought popular culture the love story of Lloyd Dobler (actor John Cusack) and Diane Court (actress Ione Skye). An eternal optimist seeks the heart of a “brain trapped in the body of a game show hostess.”

Now, join John Cusack for a screening of “Say Anything...” followed by a live conversation regarding his career and the making of “Say Anything...” Fans will get the opportunity to experience a moderated discussion, with John answering audience questions, as well.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

 Pakachoag Music School Student Recital Weekend

The Pakachoag Music School is set to host student recital weekend. 

The recitals will feature 60 students ages 6 to 18 from over 20 different communities.

The students will perform as soloists or in small groups.

Each concert lasts roughly one hour.

Community Harvest Project's Plantapalooza Fundraiser

The Community Harvest Project’s (CHP) annual plant sale fundraiser, Plantapalooza, is set to return.

The first 1,000 attendees will receive a free four-pack of tomato plants. The sale includes a huge selection of annuals, perennials, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Specialty plants include mature hops, succulents, and heirloom tomatoes.

Volunteer plant experts are onsite to advise purchases.

The fundraiser opens at 7:30 a.m.

Voyages of Exploration at Sprinkler Factory

Voyages of Exploration is a celebration of artists from around the world, inspired by a chance meeting in France. Travel and the internet are useful ways to connect communities. What better way to illustrate this connection than through art and photography? This show is about how artists take their experiences and create work that speaks to us all.

This is about crossing borders and experiencing something that changes you.

The exhibit is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“Wild Cat Station” Exhibit at EcoTarium

The exhibit features a set of sibling mountain lions and several native bird species.

At the heart of Wild Cat Station is a dramatic and intimate experience of mountain lions in their natural New England habitat.

Utilizing and transforming the former polar bear habitat, the pair of lions will be at home in their re-created mountainous terrain while visible from multiple viewing angles by our visitors.

New England Symphony Orchestra at Mechanics Hall 

The New England Symphony Orchestra has been serving Central Massachusetts for more than 40 years, providing programs for the education, enrichment and pleasure of the citizens and musicians of the region. 

Now entering its 43rd Season, The NESO was founded in 1974 in South Lancaster by Dr. Jon Robertson as the Thayer Conservatory Orchestra.

Evening Spring Bird Walk at Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary

Catch the birds before they go to bed in this program suitable for backyard, beginner, and intermediate birders. 

You will look for spring migrants and breeding species, and we'll practice identification based on sight and sound.
