Antique Car Rally at Old Sturbridge Village

There is plenty going on around Worcester to keep you busy this weekend. From music to art, there are events for all ages. 

This weekend's events include the Worcester Bravehearts, an Antique Car Rally at Old Sturbridge Village and live music.

Art 4 stART

The fundraiser will feature works, music, and interactive experiences from almost 50 local artists and organizations.

On the first floor gallery, physical works will be available for purchase at a price set by the artist. These works range from paintings and photographs to pottery and textiles.

The second floor will hold silent auctions of various experiences, including a moonlit hike, a cooking class, tattooing, custom photo shoots, and memberships to makerspaces and fitness organizations.

Guests can also take part in multiple activities, such as henna, games, and balloon art. Musicians will perform on the landing between the two floors.

Bravehearts vs Brockton Rox at Fitton Field

The Worcester Bravehearts have broke attendance records in each of their last two games.

They look to make it three straight when they host the Brockton Rox.

Worcester is currently 3-3 on the season.

Free “RIP Kelly Square” t-shirts will be handed out to the first 500 fans in attendance.

Antique Car Rally at Old Sturbridge Village

When Old Sturbridge Village first opened in 1946, it wasn’t just a walking Village, it was a driving Village! Every June, the Village salutes its early heritage with an annual Antique Car Rally featuring dozens of automobiles from 1946 and earlier.

Shekere Workshop at Worcester Pop - Up 

Please come join us for a fun filled time learning how to play the Shekere. A very easy technique that is fun to learn on this instrument. 

After learning the basic technique, you will learn a few basic patterns that are played in Afro-Cuban and Latin music. I will also teach you a few "tricks" that can be applied to these basic patterns. 

By the end of the two-hour session, you will be having fun playing Shekere.

The Charlotte Klein Dance Centers is a leading name in the field of dance in central Massachusetts and is recognized throughout New England and nationally.

Under the direction of Rachel Rubin, the award-winning studio offers a complete program of dance education from pre-school to pre-professional in spacious, well-equipped studios in Worcester and Westborough.

The recital begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday. There is also one at 3:30 p.m.

Visions of Design: Parallels in Mid-Century Modern and Shaker Furniture at Fruitlands Museum

Visions of Design presents parallels found in Shaker furniture and Mid-century Modern furniture, with pieces drawn from Fruitlands Museum’s Shaker collection and from Field Farm in Williamstown, former home of avid modern art and furniture collectors Lawrence and Eleanor Pamedo Bloedel, which is now a six-room Bed and Breakfast.
