Worcester PD Make 2nd Arrest in Connection to Hope Cemetery Theft

On Tuesday, February 2, Worcester police detectives assisted Bridgeport police in conducting a drug investigation and subsequently recovered human remains in the home of Felix Delgado. 

Worcester police believe that the remains in the home could be linked to the theft of skeletal remains from two mausoleums in Hope Cemetery in Worcester. The evidence was forwarded to the CT Medical Examiners' Office for examination in order to determine if they are the remains stolen from Hope Cemetery. 

Worcester police then applied for and received an arrest warrant for Felix Delgado, 40, of 518 Hallett Street, Apt. 1, Bridgeport, CT and charged him with eight counts of disinterring bodies. 

Delgado was placed under arrest and charged as a fugitive from justice. Delgado is currently waiting rendition. 

Prior Arrest Made

In December of 2015, Worcester police charged 32-year-old Amador Medina in connection with the theft of human skeletal remains from a Mausoleum in Hope Cemetery. Medina was charged with 5 counts of disinterment of bodies. 

The investigation is ongoing.
