Worcester Police to Hold Memorial Ceremony on Sunday

The annual Worcester Police Memorial Ceremony will take place at Worcester Police Headquarter this Sunday.

The ceremony is in memory of the Worcester Police Department members, both active and retired, who passed away last year. Introductory remarks will be made by Deputy Chief of Operations Steven M. Sargent following the presentation of colors and the national anthem.

This year, the Worcester Police Department will honor the memory of

  • Sgt. John Atlas
  • George Campbell
  • William Carr
  • Anthony Ferrazano
  • Henry Healy
  • Salvatore Mangano
  • William Nugent
  • Patrick Thibodeau
  • Alan Gemme
  • Robert Reno
  • Sgt. Frank Larange

The event will also include the traditional bell-ringing and wreath laying ceremony. The public is encouraged to attend the memorial ceremony.
