Bogaerts’ 11th Inning RBI Single Helps Red Sox Past Blue Jays 7-4

Bogaerts did not start the game and came in as a defensive replacement in the 10th inning. It was the first time that Bogaerts was not in the starting lineup since April 21.
The Red Sox improve to 44-35 on the season.
Red Sox Win it in 11th
With the game tied at 4 in the 11th inning, Hanley Ramirez drilled a double off of Aaron Loup to start the inning and then moved to third on a single by Jackie Bradley Jr.
One out later, Bogaerts hit a single to score a Ramirez and give Boston a 5-4 lead.
Bradley Jr. and Bogaerts would then score on a single by Devin Marrero to give the Red Sox a 7-4 lead.
Craig Kimbrel came on in the bottom of the inning to pick up his 23rd save of the season.
Prior to the Red Sox 11th inning rally, they left 15 men on base, while Toronto pitching walked 13 batters.

The Red Sox and Blue Jays continue their series on Saturday, July 1 at 1 p.m.
The pitching matchup is Boston’s Chris Sale against Toronto’s Francisco Liriano.
