The Women’s Initiative of United Way of Central Massachusetts recently announced the new Chair and Vice Chair of the Women’s Initiative Leadership Council. Elaine Wright will serve as the new Chair of the Women's Initiative Leadership Council. Wright is Vice President of Business Services at Webster Five, and has been involved in the Women's Initiative since its inception. Wright will bring a unique perspective to the organization, which will guide organizational development and help create partnerships that will multiply the impact of the Women's Initiative's work.
Leah Lamson, media professional and former editor of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, and a founding member of the Women's Initiative, has been named Vice Chair of the Women's Initiative Leadership Council. Lamson is passionate about the Women's Initiative's focus on empowering middle school girls.
