Dalston

Hello, my name is Dalston and I am the best of boys. I am a calm and gentle 85lb bundle of love who just wants everyone to pet me. My favorite things in the world are getting scratches, smelling things on walks, and napping.

I had to leave my home of 14 years because of an allergy, but I’m not having any trouble settling into my new place. I’m completely house trained and have no problem spending time quietly by myself without causing trouble. I don’t need a lot of exercise or play but love. Mostly I’m just content to find a perfect spot near you and lay in it. And of course, get scratches.

Jenny

Jenny from the Block came to us after being found as a stray, and has adapted to life in a warm foster home exceptionally well! She may be on the older side (our guess is that she’s around 12 years old), but she trots around the house, runs up and down the stairs, jumps right into the front seat of the car, and follows her foster parents around until they give her treats.

Jenny has limited hearing, but that doesn’t impact her life at all. She loves to chill in her cozy dog bed. She is extremely gentle and is excellent with the dog and cat in her foster home. She prefers not to be picked up or cuddled, but is a little shadow to her foster parents. She has a very sweet demeanor.

Mr. W

Mr. W is a Cairn Terrier mix between 6 and 8 years old. He weighs 18 pounds and he's perfectly house trained. His back story prior to being found on the streets of northern Massachusetts is unknown

Since coming into rescue a number of medical issues have been addressed. A vet examination indicated that Mr. W had stones in his bladder. After the surgery had removed 26 stones, we waited for signs that Mr. W was feeling better. Several weeks later, Mr. W was favoring one of his legs. We scheduled an orthopedic consult. The results indicated that Mr. W had a partial tear in his Anterior Cruciate Ligament. The recommendation was rest, limited use and pain management. He's no longer on pain medication and his leg injury has healed.

Rufus

Do you like big mutts? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs. I am the biggest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right. I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me. A good judge of character, I know what I want when it comes to family. A quiet home with experienced "big dog" people and no young uns would be perfect. Because I was not treated kindly in the past, I need time to feel safe and to establish trust before a lot of demands are placed upon me.

Kayleigh

Kayleigh is a beautiful bulldog mix who weighs 45 pounds and is about one year old. Kayleigh had a tough beginning--she spent six months of her life in a shelter. But now that she's in a home setting, her foster family says "we just love her!"

Kayleigh would do well with a mellow male dog or older children. She has some things to learn as she is not used to being in a home, but her foster mom says that she is very sweet and cuddly. She also has lots of energy and loves to play between cuddle sessions!

Evan

I'm Evan, a strikingly handsome big boy of about 2 to 5 years old. A few months ago, I got tired of living on the streets and showed up on the porch of a kind woman who took me in. Since then, I've been LOVING life indoors.

You can see from my video that I'm all about being pet, cuddled and brushed. My other favorite activities include sitting in a window and tossing my catnip toys everywhere. I get a little shy with new people but in a new home it wouldn't be long before it was YOUR lap I was cuddling up in. I'm so sweet and relaxed, I even let my foster mom pick me up and clean my ears.

Puddy

My name's Puddy. That's Puddy like Puddy-Tat or Puddy like clay, you choose. I answer to both!

I lost my previous home because my owner passed away. It's been a sad time for me, but things are looking up now that I have a new foster home to explore and my purr is back! I'm independent, very gentle, and will let you know when I want some head scratches. You might think I'm shy but I just have a soft meow. Oh, and I'm 8 years young!

Allie

Allie is kind of a diva in the best way possible. She is very curious- she likes to follow you around the house and prefers affection in small doses. She is on the smaller side with a beautiful, soft calico coat that barely sheds.

Allie may be twelve but she looks and acts like a five year old! She is always bouncing around, exploring boxes, hiding under blankets and making herself little nests on the couch.
