Jessie Buckley delivers an unforgettable, star-making performance as Rose-Lynn Harlan, a rebellious country singer who dreams of trading the working-class streets of Glasgow for the Grand Ole Opry of Nashville.
Fresh out of prison, Rose-Lynn juggles her menial job, two children, and committed mother, expertly portrayed by Oscar-nominee Julie Walters, as she pursues her bold ambition of a one-way ticket to musical stardom.
With the support of her boss (Sophie Okonedo), Rose-Lynn embarks on a life-changing journey that challenges her sense of self and helps her discover her true voice.

When Main Street Was Gay: A Walking Tour at Worcester Pop-Up
Follow the paths of early bar hoppers, community builders, cruisers, and Pride marchers as they cautiously and sometimes defiantly navigated the blocks around Worcester’s Main Street in pursuit of sociability, spiritual fellowship, sexual pleasure, and political rights between 1950s and 1990s.
A digital companion to the tour will help bring the sites of early LGBTQ+ life to live through images and artifacts attesting to a time when Main Street was gay.

Muster Day at Old Sturbridge Village
To supplement the meager armed forces, most early 19th-century farmers and craftsmen were required by law to serve in local militia units – the forerunner of today’s National Guard.
Fall militia musters often saw the various militia companies of several towns coming together for a regimental muster. These would have been grand spectacles with townspeople coming out to view visiting militia companies in their dashing uniforms
The event begins at 9:30 a.m.

“In Motion, At Rest" Exhibit at ArtsWorcester
ArtsWorcester presents its newest exhibit titled “In Motion, At Rest,” by Janet Schwartz and Dave Kaphammer.
Schwartz concentrates on movement and shifting objects, while Kaphammer directs his attention to vehicles in a state of rest--these two artists deliver dynamic work in paint and pastel.
Schwartz gets inspiration from the motion of vehicles and the distortions that may occur through unusual lenses. She focuses on urban and highway landscapes, often through partially obscured views that blur and contort the realities outside.
Kaphammer is fascinated by just the opposite and looks to what happens when this motion stops, as these vehicles linger amongst a landscape. With dramatic light and shadowing, he explores a multitude of vehicles, some left in a state of decay.
