"Tonight, Sweetpea has lost almost everything. We would like to send a HUGE thank you to our community, without whom, we would have lost everything. We will add updates in the morning. Thank you all" said Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals on their Facebook page.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
The Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals Inc. is a nonprofit, no-kill animal welfare organization that was founded in 2000.
