Worcester Cab Driver Shot in Armed Robbery, Police Investigating

The Incident
According to the driver, 62, he was dispatched to a Stockton Street home to pick up a fare. When he arrived at the address, he was immediately approached by the male suspect. The male had his face covered and was in possession of a handgun .
The suspect attempted to rob the victim but the victim resisted. During the struggle, the victim was shot.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
A police search of the area produced negative results.
Worcester Police investigators responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Detectives canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses.
